You can adjust the amount of glycerin and other moisturizing ingredients to suit your skin’s needs. This is a good amount of ingredients for a medium-sized bathtub. You may need to increase the quantity if you have a larger bathtub. Let’s dig deeper.
I don’t know what body wash you use for cleaning your body. You don’t have to worry about it, as anybody wash will work for making bubble baths. Make sure that your body wash is mild and capable of creating a large lather.
There is no connection between honey and making bubbles. It can be used to nourish your skin. Honey is known for its antibacterial and antiseptic properties. Honey is also an excellent moisturizer and emollient. 1 tablespoon honey is my preference for a bubble bath.

- Relaxing Lavender: 5 drops lavender essential oil, 5 drops bergamot
- Calming Rose: 6 drops lavender, 3 drops geranium, 3 drops rose
Is It Possible To Use Shampoo To Make A Bubble Bath?
Technically, yes! The liquid soap can be swapped for the shampoo of your choice.
Shower gel and liquid soap are usually formulated with the same ingredients as shampoo. Both reduce the water’s surface tension, which creates bubbles.
It all comes down to the availability of ingredients and preferences for scents and scents when choosing between shampoo and liquid soap.
Things Need to be Considered Before Bubble Bath
It is important to plan your time when taking a bubble bath. This is not the same bath you take every day for 10 to 15 minutes. A bubble bath can take anywhere from half an hour to nearly one hour. It is best to take a bubble bath on weekends when you have the time. You are also free to do important work during this time.
You won’t get as much lather from a homemade bubble bath recipe as if you use a commercial one. Making a homemade bubble bath is not as easy as making one with commercial ingredients.
You don’t have to do it yourself. This can be done with normal tap water. However, you should check the hardness of your water. Because hard water can make it difficult for bubble bath recipes to create the right lather. Water hardness doesn’t have to be checked every day. A once-a-year check is sufficient.
